The fog is cleared from the agenda of the Dr Qadri after he spelled out his demands during his “Dharna” sit in, after the culmination of a long march from Lahore to Islamabad.
Qadri demanded government should resign incontinently and ECP dissolved forthwith. An interim setup agreed after wider consultation between political parties, and re-formation of ECP to ensure free and fair elections.
The majority of people would agree with Dr Qadri’s demands. Most politicians also agree, before restoring to different ifs and buts. There lay the problems. Even though almost everyone declares their motives are exactly the same, but their paths are different. The questions arise why?
Why would a nation unanimously declares to have same aims but still remains so divided?
There are two possibilities why the nation is so divided on the directions it should take to reach a destination claimed to be unanimous. The first possibility is that there are different paths but a semblance of consensus of the aims is the result of a confusion to understand the aims. The second possibility is, which looks more likely that some people don’t have the same ideas but they deliberately lie to give the impressions that they are working towards the same nirvanas.
While Qadri has stipulated dissolution of governments, both federal and provincials, Election commission of Pakistan, called the President, the Prime Minister, Ministers and Parliamentarians as exes, declaring all of them have lost their rights to rule over Pakistan. Imran Khan at a press conference added his weight to the cause he has championed for years by demanding that the President should resign impetuously, citing in his presence the free and fair elections are impossible. Imran Khan also pointed to the fact, despite clear orders of Lahore High Court, the President continues to conduct the political affairs from the presidency.
While Qadri was delivering one of his numerous speeches to the gathered crowd, the news was breaking from the Supreme Court Of Pakistan that a bench of SCP, which was hearing the case for inappropriate rental power contracts, had issued the order to NAB to arrest all the accused in the case and present their Challans to the court on 17th January. Hearing the news Qadri got over excited and relayed the news to the crowd, claiming that half of his desideratum are already meeting with the decision of SCP.
His exuberance gave Pakistani media the chance to claim it is an orchestrated drama, whose strings are pulled by the establishment and from the announcement of PM arrest, it seems the Judiciary is also on the same page. Until lately many pundits were still sticking to this ludicrous lie, despite knowing fully well that this case had been going on for a considerable time now. It had been dragged on by the NAB purposefully on the orders of Zardari, so the PM remains in his seat until new elections. But they could only drag the matter so far before SCP lost its patience. The sudden decision of the SCP was the result of two of the investigators of the NAB presenting the evidence to the court that NAB Chairman had issued the orders using SCP as an excuse to remove them from the investigation of the case, because they were collecting the evidence and preparing the Challans against the culprits including the Prime Minister.
Imran Khan’s desideration for the President Zardari’s resignation have weight, these demands could be understood with two phenomena; firstly, after the passage of the 18th amendment to the constitution the members of the assemblies are bound to follow the orders of the leaders of their political parties.
President Zardari’ as head of his Pakistani people’s party demands the full support of all his party members in different assemblies, according to the 20th amendment. Let’s cut the crap, his son Bilwal until now only had been for decorative purposes, the real power behind PPP is President Zardari. This role played by Zardari as party head of the PPP is against the demands and ethics of his role as President. His two coprolites cannot and should not have continued without consequences. But such are the standards in Politics in Pakistan and so much deluded and dishonest is Pakistani media that this flagrant violation had been happening for over 4 years but none of them put any pressure on President to give up his role as the party head. The datum is, he has no role to play in Pakistani politics, he is only a figurehead. For the Pakistani press to point the fingers of blame at Qadri that his demands are extra constitutional is ludicrous. Why they didn’t object to this flagrant violation of the constitution by Zardari for years, and demanded his removal posthaste!!
Zardari appointed three Prime Ministers of PPP, under what constitution’s role assigned to him? He would soon be selecting another for the post because the position of Prime Minister Ashraf is untenable after the decision of SCP. Pakistani journalists’s position is so damn harebrained on political issues; some of them were still preaching that the Prime Minister could continue in his role. If this happen, then Qadri’s contentions have truth to them. This government is run by the unscrupulous for the sake and benefits of the criminals. Sooner it is removed is better for Pakistan and Pakistanis.
Second news which mucilage Imran Khan’s demands for the removal of the President were yesterday’s meeting between the NAB’s chairman with President Zardari. Why this meeting has taken place and to discuss what issues!! What Zardari had to do with the NAB chairman!! Under what constitutional authority Zardari is acting!!!
Alas, no one would ask these questions in preposterous Pakistani media. They spend hours and hours criticizing the opponents of this debauched system, while they close their eyes from such flagrant violations of the constitutional roles assigned to different heads. The only purpose of Chairman NAB’s visit to Karachi to meet Zardari was to implement the manipulative practices of Zardari against yesterday’s decision of SCP. Zardari as a President of Pakistan should have nothing to with the running of the government. But his hand is everywhere for last 5 years and despicable Pakistani media had let this boff to play upon Pakistani masses uninterrupted.
Yesterday, the Grand Daddy of Pakistani journalism lost it completely against a caller to his program. I would not repeat his verbiage against the supporter of Imran Khan and PTI, just suffice to say, no doubt this man is a true Rottweiler. Would he give answers to my questions, under what laws and sections of the constitution of Pakistan Zardari had been conducting all these functions?? Where were you for last 5 years, while Zardari violated the constitution and keep running the government as a De-facto Khedive?????? Shame is too little a word for journalists like you. Because of decades long malpractices of worthless journalists like you Pakistan had been ruined by these decadent politicians.
I would add further, according to the information released last year Zardari once again failed to pay any taxes. I ask questions from mentally bankrupt journalist like Nusarat Javaid and Mushtaq Minhas, who misguide innocent people of Pakistan. How Zardari and his children live lavish lives like Kings without having any source of Income!!! How Zardari and his family members manage to run numerous properties Zardari has had in different parts of Pakistan, in Dubai, in the UK, in France, in the USA and in different parts of the world!!! Are these Pakistani journalists brain dead or do they take Pakistanis for mugs! Are they so weak in mathematics that they seriously think Zardari doesn’t earn more than Rs41,000 a month for him to be liable for tax!!! Or they want us to believe Zardari manages in Rs41,000 a month!!
When are they going to open their closed minds and accept two felonious individuals are occupying the President and Prime Minister houses. When a nation appoints interdicted to their important offices, then the result would be exactly like what is happening in Pakistan. But brazen journalists of Pakistan are still misleading the Pakistani nation.
Mr Nusarat Javaid, we know the constitution of Pakistan better than journalists like you. You are a black mark on the consciousness of humanity. The 20th amendment you mentioned to the young supporter of PTI is result of the efforts of the debased leaders who have come to power after demanding that their past sins and crimes are wiped clean through the NRO. I don’t need to point out to “scholars” like you that the NRO is declared unlawful by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Shamefully you in your professional cozenage are still declaring this assembly is legitimate, which is a result of unconstitutional, unlawful action and the pact.
Imran Khan’s other demand to revamp the election commission of Pakistan is legitimate too. This election commission has come into existence with the connivance of the reprobate political leadership. All three amendments passed to the constitution of Pakistan are passed to protect the interest of jackleg Pakistani politicians. Sooner these amendments are repealed better for Pakistani nation. If these amendments are not removed than Pakistani nation should understand, they are signing their own death warrants by giving the control of Pakistan to corrupt leaders forever. If these efforts of Imran Khan and now of Qadri fail, then you the Pakistani public would be the ultimate losers, not Imran Khan or Qadri.
You would be in control of these rakish political thugs, they would keep playing the game of law and constitution with you, until a blood bath starts in Pakistan, or God forbid it is divided into smaller part.
Pakistanis should be aware of the web of deception, which is spread around them through recently introduced amendments to the constitution of Pakistan. These amendments are passed by the legislatures which should have been disqualified from taking part in the Elections or to hold any position of power in the Government, if the Pakistani constitution was applied in letter and spirit.
Pakistanis should not expect any other results if contrabands are representing them in the assemblies, they naturally would solidify their own positions by ring fencing the legislations giving them legitimately in the future. People like Nusarat and Mushtaq are the agent provocatuer of the nefarious politicians. Pakistan had been destroyed while these so-called journalists were ignoring their professional responsibilities to the Pakistani nation.
Both Imran Khan and Dr Qadri are right to show their displeasure and dissatisfaction with ECP. The point raised by the two leaders were listed in my earlier article. Justice Fakruddin Ibrahim alone cannot implement the rules of the elections commission of Pakistan, while four representatives appointed by the reprobate politicians are holding their positions in the ECP, for the sole purpose of safeguarding the politicians’ interests. No wonder PTI complaints of irregularities in recent by elections and even an earlier by election in Lahore have borne no fruits. These were the trailers for the film which is promised by Nawaz Sharif, which definitely would be witnessed by Pakistani people unless these unprincipled politicians are stopped from representing the Pakistani nation.
My suggestion and advice to Imran Khan and PTI, there is no better time than now to act. Act you must, strike a devastating blow to this iniquitous system of juvenile delinquency and loot. Pakistan cannot take corruption and plunder anymore, the other consequences of the continuation of the embezzlement are unmentionable and unbearable for Pakistani nation.
I end my article by giving some food for thought to the Pakistani nation.
If you were to accept the lame excuses given by many Pakistani journalists that Pakistanis should show patience to the unscrupulous politicians, with time the democracy would be strengthened. Then you are digging your own graves and that of your children. What the politicians have done in the five years apart from looting, and increasing the debt of Pakistan!! On top of it, they have ring fenced their corruption for the future through the introduction of three amendments to the constitution, to legitimize themselves in the years to come.
The second most common mantra in the Pakistani journalistic community is, where would Pakistanis find people who would satisfy the sections 62 and 63 of the Constitution? In essence Pakistani journalists have condemned Pakistanis as tainted and morally bankrupt nation which cannot produce roughly 1000 honest and credible people, hence they should accept the bent thugs as their representatives and lawmakers.
What the world would think about Pakistani people and Pakistani politicians!! Can we blame them, If the world doesn’t take Pakistan and Pakistani politicians seriously.!!
Can you blame the world, If Pakistan is the center of attention of the whole world for all the wrong reasons!!! Pakistanis please bring your house in order before it is too late.
As for discredited Pakistani journalists, I challenge them to produce one simple example of a civilized country, where its so-called “opinion makers”, “scholars” “journalists” preach that contaminated thieves, tax dodgers, wheeler dealers, fake degree holders, hoarders are good for the country and should be allowed to rule the nation.
