As everyone knows, nations are identified through their culture, civilization, dignity and sovereignty. All these things place strength of a nation before the international community.
It is a real fact that history forgets those who forget their history.
And today, we, as a nation, are far away from our real values, culture, civilizations and norms.
We should keep in minds that no one can be our trustworthy but ourselves. If we consider that anyone can be our reliable friend, it is nothing, but a vain thought.
We have to observe all the things according to current situation and aftermaths. The US-led Nato forces attack on two Pakistan check-post on November 26 which compelled Pakistan to review its policy with the US. The Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) drafted a 14-point revised recommendation which was later unanimously endorsed by the joint session on April 12, suggesting immediate cessation of CIA-controlled drone attacks, curbs upon arms transportation to Afghanistan and demanded strict action against responsible of Salala check-post incident.
The US put PCNS recommendations under its feet and continued its drone-attack policy inside Pakistan. The US drone attacks have killed thousands of innocent people in the tribal region of Pakistan since 2004.
The US did not apologise but only used word “sorry” that is an open splash on Pakistan’s sovereignty, but unfortunately Pakistani law makers are more interested in dollars than Pakistan’s self respect. They have no concerns about the blood of innocent and poor people who have been killed in US drone strikes since 2004.
Every nation has its own interests and it build and split up alliance by placing their national interests in on the top. But it depends on you that how much you allow your allies to interfere in your policies.
The question that troubles new Pakistani generation is; Are we ally or enemy of the US? When the question arises before the US officials they mess all the things because they know very well that Pakistani rulers are their glove-puppet. The thing that lefts Pakistani nation alone is that we have forgotten our culture, norms and civilization that is why we are dependent on others, and ask for assistance, help, guidance from other countries.
It has become the dilemma of Pakistani nation that we are living in a dead-conscience nation where pizza reaches home faster than ambulance and police, you can get car loan 100 percent and education loan 20 per cent, mobile SIMs are free but prices of food supplements are out of reach, footwear, we wear, are sold in air-conditioned shops but vegetables we eat are sold on footpaths. We make lemon juice with artificial flavours and dish wash liquids with real lemon.
In Pakistan a person with MA/MSc is jobless while a person with no education is MNA/MPA.
It is right that in the contest of globalization, we cannot service alone, but we can also not make our position until and unless we not go throw education, technology and other modern technologies.
This shows that powerful decision of rulers can motivate and unite nation.
If we just make our mind that we can survive without others’ support then most of our problems will automatically be solved.
As a nation, we have to learn a lot from countries like Iran, Turkey and Venezuela.
These are the nations who always take stand in favour of their national interest. That’s why they are not seen begging others.
If we want to see Pakistan a strong and a respected nation we have to come out and play their positive role for make it a practical Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
