Decades back, we were fine living

We reside in a modish global village, our priorities, preferences, culture, traditions have almost modernized in recent years. Many things have changed down the lane, while we have associated our lives with branding, greed, and materialism, so as to be part of western culture and rapidly transforming world. In this development there are several sensitive concerns which also got modernized with time, perhaps shouldn’t have been changed.

For a moment, Lets imagine or visualize yourself in past. Now I could catch a glimpse of valuing relations. Visualizing the real meaning of emotions dispatched along with the antique letter hundred miles away. Feel the essence of sophisticated gathering comprised of aged people revealing experiences. Recognize the simple methods of earning livelihood. Appreciate the celebrations and carnivals on the grounds of wisdom, loyalty, commitment and dedication. Acknowledge the simplicity and care within the family and admit bighearted behavior to others. Sense the pleasure of archaic styled wedding while travelling miles away to meet acquaintances and lodging there for few days to have well managed preparation. Unpolluted environment, hygienic food, uncomplicated personalities, fewer desires were all components of ancient times.

Its fine looking that we have modernized ourselves but we shouldn’t have compromised on ethics, our moral values, beliefs, and foremost faith. I must rather consider our existence in Android or Mac world. We are fond of branding, status, ego and to promote self- image. But why did compromise on ethics and believes became our priority? It’s attractive to observe society leaping forth towards technology and innovation but we never would have forced the institutions to establish old people’s home. It’s fabulous to witness growth in trade and other sectors but why to deprive close relative of their assets? It must be amazing to see escalation in education level but why to ignore underprivileged relatives. It’s eye-catching to buy branded car, but why does it only geared towards influential people and not towards disadvantaged ones. It’s encouraging to have desires but why to ignore needs of acquaintances? It sounds satisfactory to hunt for lucrative opportunities for ourselves but why to curtail for other?

Purpose of writing this blog is not to undervalue the importance of modernization but have tried to put social aspects under limelight.
