Surjeet singh 60-year-old, after serving life term in jail has finally reached to his native soil after decades. Scope of writing this blog is not to discuss spying matter or mixed up name issue or his confession but to highlight concerns on the social and political grounds.

Most of the people on both sides of boundaries have bonded their judgments to 1947.  I have a high regard for the sacrifices of our ancestors in acquiring Muslims ruling homeland but they never wanted us to get welded to the memories and to leap forth towards global world. It’s just a matter of how one perceives the sacrifices; we must to have broadened our visions. Despite of practicing Islamic teachings, they sacrificed so to get an identity on the world map. It’s no more useful to get stick to 1947, in contrast we must step forward to promote peace and build an alliance with our neighboring countries.

To make it more transparent, let’s discuss Surjeet issue for a while. India and Pakistan have similar way of dealing with spying agents as to send them to life term in jails. It sounds bit inhumane while sending some one for 27 years to jail but Surjeet confessed regarding his involvement in killing people. As a result he deserved the punishment somewhat. We must perceive government initiative in releasing him a strategy to promote peace and friendship. In return, India must also be releasing some of our accused prisoners. Subsequently, this practice would also let representatives of both countries to talk on various other issues such as Siachen, trade, water, policies, exchange rate, poverty, education extra.

Audience might get bore while finding me not to accuse India and Pakistan getting involved into spying or terrorism or whatever, but my writing scope is not to blame or accuse anyone but to put those areas in limelight which can act as a tool for the betterment of Pakistan. Why do governments at both sides never think of promoting trade? Do we have to indulge into spying and cold war eternally? All the time I usually find in newspapers people blaming our government on releasing Surjeet. If government is intending towards promoting peace and trying to build coalition then let’s admire it. For how long do we have to think of war? , developed nations had left us far behind and we at present are indulged into war, borders, spying, and facing terrorism extra.

I have been waiting for this initiative since decades but now it’s time to patch up and rule the world together. India has an edge over us at different sectors; likewise Pakistan must be having edge over India at various levels. Let’s learn from each other and groom together.
