Are the regional cricket associations wroth doing their jobs? I guess not. Then what are they doing making money sorry to say but this is all what they have done. What is basically the role of association? To grab new talented players and promote them to the main circuit but this is not what we have seen so far. Also the infrastructure and other development in cricket in the region also come under the regional cricket association and since I belong to the Karachi region I would like to share few facts about KCCA.
How many of us know what has been going on in the cricket association since many of us don’t ever think about and care about the happenings in the internal department and what we all see and comment is we know Pakistani cricket he should be given chances that player should be given a chance we don’t even know how much young talent is being wasted due to the politics what we called and inner corruption. The KCCA has not done much in the past and I know so much about it but something’s should be kept secret. But a hint of what has been done by the association should be brought to the scene. According to the sources Current secretary of KCCA Siraj ul Islam Bokhari has been the main cause for the waste of talented players in the city. According to a source the person has taken 73 lakhs in total in the name of fund to build and improve the infrastructure and to find talented players but the opposite of it happened.
It has been said that the person was the main reason in ruining Asim Kamal’s career a great talent a player who last played in 2006 and has scored 8 half-centuries and with an average of 38 in just 12 test matches was ruled of the team without giving any proper reason. He was also said to be the reason due to which Younis Khan wasn’t able to play for Pakistan from this region. Why all this what could be the reason behind this? There are many that could have come but one thing has been assured that what all these people has cared about is their position. It has been a very sad part in Pakistan cricket but nothing has been done to change the system.
Now what happened to the 73 lakhs that were given in the name of fund? An auditing company candy land was responsible for the auditing of this money but in a tv show the president of KCCA completely refused that any contract was made with the company and another person on the same day belonging to the association admits that a contract was present. As always no one wants to take responsibility and furthermore if someone sees the condition of the KCCA ground the real picture would have come before eyes and they could have judged themselves where the money would have gone
It has been such a disappointment that the association is wasting such young talent. A boy named Bilal Mahmood a young left arm fast bowler such to the caliber of Muhammad Amir is playing club cricket for such a long time and not been promoted. Who knows the reason the association has done nothing to promote players like him and trust me there are many of them waiting for their chance but not given. Disappointingly the association does nothing to bring young talent on the scene and promote them. Why because there is corruption and I don’t understand that why these people are being the victim of it.
We are Pakistanis we love cricket to be more exact we live this sport and we have the talent to bring Pakistan to the top most people what needs to be done is that young players should be promoted and they should be given the chances the association should do their job honestly and they can bring cricket to the next level. The association should understand their responsibility. I love cricket and so all we do.
