Save Karachi save Pakistan

This is with reference to President’s recent visit to Karachi. In my opinion we are heading towards alleyway blind end like in dictator Musharraf’s regime. By his thanksgivings Pakistan had reached in extremely toxic state, in medical terminology we call it “The Trauma triad of death” it is the combination of hypothermia, acidosis and coagulopathy.

This combination is commonly seen in patients who have sustained severe traumatic injuries and results in a significant rise in the mortality rate. The three conditions share a complex relationship; each factor can compound the others, resulting in high mortality if the cycle continues uninterrupted. Severe hemorrhage in trauma diminishes oxygen delivery, causing the patient’s body temperature to drop (hypothermia).

This in turn can halt the coagulation cascade, preventing blood from clotting (coagulopathy). In the absence of blood-bound oxygen and nutrients (hypo perfusion), the body’s cells burn glucose an aerobically for energy (lactic acidosis), which in turn increases the blood’s acidity (metabolic acidosis). Such an increase in acidity can reduce the efficiency of the heart muscles (myocardial performance), further reducing the oxygen delivery and hence triggering a deadly cycle. This phenomenon depicted our country’s state, When PPP had come in power, those all issues were inherited to PPP government, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari’s vision, reconciliation policy(oxygen ventilator) worked and Pakistan started to get back on the track but somehow enemies of our country and democracy retaliated back in the form of Judiciary, militancy, yellow methods of journalism, Iran and India’s backed baloch separatists, and so called revolutionaries and mindless politicians. It is very unfortunate that again we are about to enter in same toxic state, where dictator Musharraf had left us.

Our tribal areas and Balochistan were burning and those inflicted traumas were bore by country because of heart (Karachi) of Pakistan was functioning not so bad then. If Islamabad is the control centre (Brain) of country, then Karachi is definitely the boosting station of economy (heart) of it; rightly called economic hub of our country and in true sense it is like the back bone of economy of Pakistan too.

It was co-chairperson of PPP Asif Ali Zardari, whose party had got heavy mandate in 2008 general elections but for the sake of heart(Karachi) of Pakistan he went to nine zero for to enhance better relationship between Pakistan’s largest party PPP and karachi’s heavy mandate winner MQM. Yet again it is honourable president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari whose patience is deemed to be praised for peace of country’s heart. In my view MQM and all other stake holders of Karachi should strengthen government and should work for peace of heart of Pakistan i.e Karachi along with incumbent government. I would like to appeal to all of stakeholders of this battle-scarred city to stop blame game against each other and all of these should trace hidden enemies(initiators and perpetrators of mohajir sooba movement, extortionists, target killers etc. etc) and fix them for once and all. My simple piece of advice to all stakeholders is that ‘Get rid of elements of “traumatic triad of death” before these elements rid our country.’
