Shia Killings in Pakistan, reality or myth

Shia-Sunni clashes in Pakistan are a routine activity. Is it due to international politics? Is it result of Saudi Arabia and Iran’s struggle to hold the region? Or Shias are trying to convert Pakistan into SHIA state?

There are a lot of questions and hundreds of answers about the current situation in Gilgit-Baltistan, Parachinar and Quetta, Pakistan.

Here are few tweets of a Pakistani girl living abroad, her tweets show what she thinks and feels about the current situation in her country regarding Shia-Sunni conflicts.

Tweets of Sara Rizvi describing important side of the Conflict:

cousin in grade 8 told me kids in the classroom started beating a shia boy in front of the teacher & no one did anything to stop them #khi

the entire class stopped speaking to this boy because he is shia! eventually they started bullying & hitting him together #Karachi #Pakistan

#Pakistan on its way to become the next #SaudiArabia #justsayin

genuinely worried for my family in #Pakistan! don’t think its safe for them to live here peacefully without being threatened or worse, killed

this is getting very ridiculous! what is wrong with our country? we’re killing our own people and no one seems to care!!! #Pakistan #Quetta

when i was in grade 2,some girls stopped talking to me when they got to know i was shia! lol,i get weird looks even today by some

why would your name offend anyone?plus its easy to say if one hasn’t experienced discrimination! u can see whats happening in pak

As a neutral or true Pakistani what do you think that what is the basic reason of sectarian conflicts between these two school of thoughts? Please share your opinion in comments, Facebook Page or Twitter.

true but donon hi qasoorwar hain bcz why they are trapped by external forces?

    • Irshad Ali says:

No, we the Shias of Parachinar are not trapped by external eliments. It was an assault by the Taliban to capture the district and creat a miniature state in Parachinar from which to lounch attacks on either side of the border and we never allowed that because that was not compatible with our survival. We resisted and we ousted “Not sunnis but Taliban and Alqaeda” and the state (Pakistan) and her agencies safeguarded them and allowed the to occupy roads deep in the mainland of the country. The judiciary kept silent and the media buzzed.

I think the basic issue is of trust. People of both sides don’t trust each other. As a result there is huge probability of being exploited by foreign powers or internal disturbances. The solution is simple. We have to be human first than muslims of either sect. Once we prove that we are genuine humAn beings with basic qualities of integrity, honesty, keeping our words, putting others over us and most important of all, be considerate of other ppl interests and e
Emotions we can win trust of each other. Otherwise we will be butchering each other over petty issues of cast, color or creed.

  3. Who do you think you are, Gandhi?

  4. Syeda Farwabatool says:

oh shut up.. dono kasoor war nhi hen.. u ppl act like freaks when u get to know that a person is shia n behave like dnt even touch him, dnt talk to him/her, u dnt like eating the food made at our homes… has any of u ever encountered a shia acting dat weird when he/she gets to know that u r not a shia??? has any shia ever said that sorry eating ur food is haram on us.. DAMN .. please stop giving lame excuses for wat most of u ppl r doing :@ muslims can eat food from christians but not from shias.. wowww.. wat kind of muslims are u ppl btw??

Let me clear some basic questions.
Is it due to international politics? Yes, it is a part of Pakistan’s hypocracy and Afghan Policy of establishing an extremist and fascist regime in Afghanistan as had been in the past and subsequently ousted by the US.
Is it result of Saudi Arabia and Iran’s struggle to hold the region? No, none of an Iranian is either killed or captured by either the states agencies or by the Taliban themselves from the shia inhabitted areas. Conversely hundreds of Arabs, Chechans, Uzbeks, Afrikans and Orientals have been bothe captured and killed by both the state’s agencies and by the shias defending their respective areas like Parachinar. Never have ever been any resolution in Iranian Parliament regarding the dire threat faced by over one third of the country’s shia  population compared to India’s outrage on the fate of few Sikh families in Orakzai and Khyber.
Or Shias are trying to convert Pakistan into SHIA state? No, never has any Shia organization, overt or covert ever demanded that or any other anti-state sentiments. On the other hand the Taliban and their political mentors like JUI and JI have times and again expressed their wishes of establishing a Taliban-Styled (necessorily anti-Shia) state in Pakistan. In a statement today, the “so-called” Difa Pakistan Council (an umbrella group manufactured by the state’s millitary and intelligence agencies) has vowed to completely support the Taliban and establish Taliban-styled “Shariah” (Terrorist) law in the country.

Conclusion is that all the questions boe in mind by this man are just an attempt to defame the shia community of the country without having any insight into the facts.

What as stupid blog. On the basis of some xyz tweet in a minor incident of in xyz school you judging thousands blood.

In recent days and even after the so called WOT, not only shia but also other people are also under attack. We lost more than 35,000 Pakistani, bkz those were Sunni, so those are simple “iffrad”, but when the same terrorists kill a Shia or any other section we start killing that “dead body” with its section or religious believe.

We Pakistani are facing terrorism, Its shia, suni or chiristain, its Pakistani genocide. Because of our involvement of american war and after the “front line state” we have a very poor law and order system that killing our Pakistani day by day..
